Accessible to everyone.
Effective July 16, 2026
Our commitment
Roofing All Stars LLC is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible — including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time task.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We check our work with automated tools (axe, Lighthouse, and pa11y), keyboard-only testing, and screen-reader spot-checks.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) on every page.
- A “Skip to main content” link that is the first thing a keyboard user reaches.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button, and form control.
- Color contrast checked against the WCAG AA 4.5:1 ratio for body text.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Forms with clearly associated labels, and status messages that are announced to screen readers.
- Full support for the operating-system “Reduce Motion” preference.
- The page language is set correctly for English and Spanish, so screen readers pronounce each page properly.
- A free “Display options” control on every page to enlarge text, raise contrast, or stop motion — no download or sign-up.
Using your device’s own accessibility tools
You don’t need a special mode or plug-in to use this site — it’s built to work with the accessibility tools already on your phone and computer, which are more capable than any website add-on:
- Make text bigger: press Ctrl and + (⌘ and + on a Mac), or pinch to zoom on a phone — the layout reflows to fit.
- Screen reader: turn on VoiceOver (Apple), TalkBack (Android), or NVDA / JAWS (Windows); the site is structured and labeled for them.
- Higher contrast or dark mode: use your device’s display settings — the site follows them.
- Less motion: turn on “Reduce Motion” in your device settings and animations stop.
- Keyboard only: press Tab to move through the page; the “Skip to main content” link appears first.
You can also use the free “Display options” button on this site for quick text-size, contrast, and motion adjustments.
Why we don’t use an accessibility overlay
Some sites add a floating “accessibility widget” (an overlay). We deliberately don’t. Overlays don’t make a site truly accessible, and they can interfere with the screen readers and other tools people already rely on. We built accessibility into the pages themselves instead — which is both more effective and what disability-rights guidance recommends.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- Our AI phone assistant and any embedded review or video widgets are provided by outside vendors and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Equivalent information — and a real person to talk to — is always available by phone.
- If an interactive element ever traps your keyboard, pressing Escape closes it.
