Roof Coatings

Roofing All Stars is a leader in the community as an authorized and certified roofing coating systems installer. We are certified in both Polyglass and Hydro-Stop systems. As an authorized installer, we offer the longest and best warranties to include No Dollar Limit warranties (NDL).

A roof coating is a monolithic, fully adhered, fluid applied roofing membrane. It has elastic properties that allow it to stretch and return to its original shape without damage. Typical roof coating dry film thicknesses vary from approximately 3 mils upwards to 40 mils. A roof coating is actually a roofing system as it becomes the top layer to most new or current roofing systems. As such, the roof coating receives the impact of the harsh sub-tropical climate; such as the impact of sunlight, infrared and ultraviolet (UV) rays, rain, hail, and physical damage.

Flat Roofing

Roofing All Stars is certified and specializes in an array of flat roof systems. We have decades of experience in the roofing industry in the Phoenix area with a heavy concentration on residential and commercial flat roofing.

Over time, flat roofs will begin to pond, retaining pools of water, or separate at the seams due to improper sloping and drainage. It is at this point that flat roof leaks occur and often are not covered by manufacturer warranty if installed incorrectly. With the proper materials, adherence to the builder code, and professional installation, a flat roof can be enjoyed trouble and maintenance-free for many years.

Shingle Roofing

Many residential homeowners have chosen asphalt shingles for their roofs. This type of shingle is also commonly selected for commercial roofing projects, both large and small. The reason they are popular is that they come in an assortment of colors, styles, levels of durability and have longer warranties for a fraction of the cost of metal, slate, and tile. When installed by a professional and licensed roofing contractor, the traditional roof shingle successfully provides a quality material at reasonable prices.

Roofing All Stars is certified to install and stands behind all the leading roofing shingle manufacturers: GAF, Tamko, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, Atlas and more. We will never promote one manufacturer over another to earn rebates or kickbacks by stating one is “the best” over another. We offer an educated assessment of each material and apply the best option to match the customers aesthetic and budetary goals.

Tile Roofing

Inspired by the indigenous architecture of the Mediterranean the tile are made from concrete or clay and available in many colors. Tile delivers high quality, aesthetically pleasing beauty and offers a long lifespan. Tile is easily matched to most architectural styles. Tile is more expensive due to the material cost and required additional framing support. Concrete and clay tiles themselves will last for decades, however, the waterproofing underlayment will typically last about 20 years before needing replacement. The tile provides protection to the underlayment from the elements and UV radiation, but can easily crack or break if not treated with care. The underlayment is the main substrate that provides the waterproofing function of these roofs.

TPO Roofing

TPO (THERMOPLASTIC POLYOLEFIN) is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. TPO is typically installed in a fully adhered or mechanically attached system.

In a mechanically fastened system, insulation is laid directly over the substrate. Once the rigid insulation is in place, plates and fasteners are installed in every piece of insulation. It is the most common form of insulation attachment used today due to its installation speed and high performance.

Fully adhered roof systems are known for having the least amount of membrane fluttering as every part is bonded to the insulation boards. Manufactures also give the fully adhered system some of the highest wind ratings on the market.

TPO membranes’ white reflective surfaces exceed the EPA’s ENERGY STAR requirements and white, tan and gray are listed with the Cool Roof Rating Council. This means that having a TPO roof on your home or building will keep the interior thermally comfortable on hot summer days while reducing your air conditioning costs.

Metal Roofing

There are basically two types of metal roofs: those with exposed screws and those that are hidden.

Metal roofing with interlocking seams that cover the screws (unexposed fasteners) are known as standing seam panels; while the type with exposed screws on the outside are known as rib panels. There are so many types of manufacturer panels that we train our estimators and educate them on the various options so that they can discuss the best option for you at length, and you are comfortable and trustworthy in their knowledge.

Metal roofing panels are commonly known as V, U, 5V Crimp, M Seam, and specialty designs are available in shake, metal shingle, tile, and stone coatings – just to name a few.

The materials can be constructed from tin, galvanized steel, stainless steel, copper, lead, zinc, aluminum, and alloy combinations are commonly installed. There are endless choices of colors and style making it a very popular choice for both residential and commercial roofs.
